DUES FAQ

What do my dues pay for?

Dues contributions support the class' operating costs. A portion per classmate is payable to the Alumni Council Class for its support of class affairs. Other costs include communication/mailings, PAW subscription, regional events, tailgates, custom birthday card wishes, and class spirit activities. It also includes class-wide opportunities such as Reunions community service program and Class Book (e.g. 20th Reunions Classbook/CD).

Aren't dues covered through Annual Giving?
No. Class dues are separate from Annual Giving.

Is the Class of 1984 a not-for-profit organization?
Yes. Princeton University Class of 1984 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit status organization, and all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

I share a household with a classmate who has paid dues; are we covered?
Dues are set on a classmate basis, not a household basis.

Does the Class accept donations or matching gifts?
Donations of any amount and matching gifts are welcome.

DUES STATS

Some interesting statistics according to the dues history reports, as of June ’00, shows 77% of classmates have paid dues at least once since graduation. And a most impressive 27% of our class have reached the “10-year Dues Honor Roll”, paying dues 10 or more years since graduation. Currently, nearly 250 classmates have paid their dues for this fiscal year.
